The resource department at Idaho Forest Group has been using advanced computer aided technology in the field for years. We have the ability to create a virtual model of each stand of timber we cruise. This allows us to assess the volumes that would result from merchandizing the logs by comparing different top sizes and lengths. We can also simulate a harvest to get an accurate before and after visual depiction of the land.
